Testing Out Different Colors

Sorry it's been so long guys! Just gotten caught up in different things and my computer that had all my pictures for posts broke beyond repair and I just recently got a new one.

Enough about that, on to the latest outfit!
Being summer, I like to test out different outfit ideas I've had blowing around in the back of my mind during the school year...and this was one of the more successful ones. I've always loved the blue-and-white polka dot dress but I could never decide what to wear over top of it to make it more formal/school-appropriate. Then I went shopping and found the orange-y/salmon-y blazer and fell in love. What do you guys think?

Blue-and-white polka dot sleeveless dress from Urban Outfitters, orange-ish blazer with one button and scrunched 3/4 sleeves from Body Central, orange-with-black-center bow from somewhere in Vietnam, bronze giraffe long necklace from my church yard sale, gold-leaved earrings from Francesca's, and tan ankle zip-up heeled modern cowboy boots with fringe from Body Central. Scrunched hair with strand of right side of hair pulled back with bow.

Just An Outfit

I love this dress. Its isssue is it's a little short but don't wear it on a windy day or find matching leggings and you'll be fine. I'm one of those weird people that wear dresses in winter; you have to know how to warm it up a bit to be able to do so while keeping your limbs from frostbite.
3/4 sleeve, 2-fer floral-skirted dress from Charlotte Russe. Jean jacket from American Eagle Outfitters. Knock-off KEDs by City Sneaks in orange with turquoise laces from Payless Shoe Source. Dangly colored flower earrings from American Eagle Outiftters. Easy Going and Aquamarine by Sinful Colors Professional on nails. Scrunched hair.

Pleather!

I love this outfit only cuz of how easy it is. The shirt and pleather skirt is actually one piece, and I have perfectly matching earrings. I like wearing my fake KEDs but if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll wear my black, heeled cowboy boots. I always do a ponytail, maybe I'll do scrunched down sometime. Who knows, the future and its possibilities are endless.
Pleather-skirted dress from Charlotte Russe. Black tennis shoes from Urban Outfitters. Black metallic skinny headband from Target. Light turquoise, black, and silver earrings from American Eagle Outfitters. Heart locket from Target. Plain ponytail.

Double Denim~Caution!

Double denim is a tricky feat, be careful! I wear different washes with a neutral color separating the jacket and the bottoms, so it doesn't look like a denim tracksuit . I wear simple accessories too, because I wear this as a calm outfit, don't let that keep you from wearing poppy accessories, just be sure they look good together! If I'm going out, I wear my Bob Marley-ish bag; that famous red, yellow, and green pattern, that's enough pop for me with this outfit. Pictured: Cream skinny headband from Target, large-barreled curls in a high ponytail, light denim jacket from American Eagle, white, sleeveless Oxford light tank from Old Navy, dark denim bootcut jeans from American Eagle, original brown thick belt from American Eagle, blue-and-brown patterned shoes from Urban Outfitters, fake pearls from Dillards, and silver heart locket from Target.

'Lazy' Days

Those days when you still care a little bit about what you look like but still want to be comfortable is a 'lazy' day. My days like this are basically the same. Yoga pants, ponytail or sleep in a braid and take out before school (creates the seen waves), comfy and lightweight, long-sleeved shirt, and my Sperry's or my turquiose Oxfords. Accesories are usually a headband with the ponytail and some long necklace for both.
First outfit (branching from top left corner)~Lace-backed, long-sleeved shirt in cream from American Eagle, floral in pink/blue yoga pants from Target, turquoise w/ white-soles-and-laces Oxfords from Target, multi-tans colored skinny plastic headband from Target.
Second outfit (branching from bottom right corner)~Striped, open-knit, lightweight, long-sleeved shirt in cream/white from Target, multi-colored striped yoga pants from Target, generic-tan Sperry's, tri-feathered silver long necklace from American Eagle

Hello World!

I'm a high school student on the eastern coast of the United States. I decided to start this blog because I often am told I should go into fashion. To me, fashion is a hobby and daily habit, not so much a job. I do love it though...hence, this blog. Enjoy (:
